Why " Poseidon's Playground "?

Poseidon's Playground is lovingly named after my sweet boxer dog, Poseidon. Although I raised my kids and rescued Poseidon while living in the suburbs, it was my dream to eventually move out to the country and learn how to produce organic fruits & veggies, eggs, honey... etc. 

I also dreamed of how excited Poseidon would be running free on acres of land, thus making it his playground. Well that part turned out to be a joke, as he was so used to being a city boy, he had no idea he was supposed to be enjoying the land lol. But that's OK, right up until the day he crossed over the rainbow bridge, he remained by my side & happy just to be there as I turned the property into my own playground. 

This is the little slice of paradise that became mine & Poseidon's playground. That's my 100% organic, in ground garden in the upper left, bee hives to the right of the pond and chicken area in the upper right. I'm not militant about clean living like I once was, but I do enjoy producing my own food & chemical free body products and sharing what I produce with friends. That's how this venture got started. 

A little bit more about me:

I am a "creator" although not exactly "a creative". I love creating, I love producing, I love being active and working with my hands. In addition to producing these wonderful, chemical free body products, I've created a beautiful organic garden from clay soil earth, I preserve a lot of the food I grow, I've designed & built my own chicken houses (along with many other structures on the property), and have been building a homemaking lifestyle. I'm an E-Commerce Programs Coordinator/ Sales Account Manager by day and live a VERY structured/ organized life. Not much of my life is lived outside the lines except when I get to create. When I create things, especially in my carpentry projects, I get to create a little anarchy. This means that everything is structurally sound, of course, but I like to incorporate features that don't have to be by the book. So there may be some crooked lines or zigs & zags where you would expect perfect straightness. This is my anarchy. When it comes to making body products, though, there's not tons of room for anarchy. The recipes are the recipes without much allowance for variation. I do get a little rebellious from time to time and make little tweaks, and it works for the most part... but when it doesn't... well that's how we got the bloopers category! Lastly, you may notice that I use bullet-points in my product descriptions and there's not a lot of fancy adjectives to describe them. You won't find a blog from me or get a long story about how certain smells take me back to my "childhood whatever". I'm not saying there's anything wrong with creators that include these things, I'm just not one of them. I make products that work and I've made them available for all of you fine folks to enjoy!
